Send-In Instructions

Sending in your own item for a private signing? Please follow the instructions below carefully so we can match your item to your order and get it signed, authenticated, and returned as smoothly as possible.

Important: A send-in slot must be purchased through the product page before mailing your item. Only send items that are listed as available send-in options for that specific signing.

How Send-Ins Work

  1. Purchase a send-in slot.
    Choose the correct send-in option on the signing product page and complete checkout.
  2. Prepare and label your item.
    Include your order number and any add-ons or signing details with the item.
  3. Ship your item to Inked.
    Use the carrier of your choice. We recommend using tracking and packaging your item securely.
  4. We handle the signing.
    Your item will be signed, authenticated when applicable, and prepared for return shipping.
  5. Your item is shipped back.
    Return shipping is charged at checkout when you place your send-in order.

Before You Ship

  • Confirm that you purchased a send-in slot for the correct signing.
  • Only send items that are shown in the send-in options when placing your order.
  • Make sure your order number is clearly included with the item.
  • Review any signing deadline listed on the product page.
  • Package your item securely to help prevent damage in transit.

Label Each Item

Please label each item with a sticky note or note attached to the item whenever possible.

  • Order number
  • Customer name
  • Signer name
  • Any purchased add-ons
  • Personalization details, if purchased
  • Character name, quote, marker color, or inscription details, if applicable

If you are sending multiple items, please label each item individually so we can match every item to the correct order.

Packaging Instructions

  • Use protective materials appropriate for your item.
  • Funko POPs, boxed items, and collectibles should be sent in a protector when possible.
  • Photos, flats, and posters should be packed in a way that prevents bending or creasing.
  • Do not send loose items without proper protection.
  • If you want an item returned in a protector, please send it in that protector.

If a protector is not provided, we do not add one when returning the item.

Important Rules

  • Send-ins must arrive by the deadline listed for the signing.
  • Items that arrive late will be returned at the customer’s expense.
  • Return shipping is charged at checkout when placing your send-in order.
  • Use any shipping carrier you prefer, but we strongly recommend using tracking.
  • Inked is not responsible for items lost or damaged while being shipped to us.
  • If an item is damaged while being shipped to Inked, the customer is responsible for filing the claim with their carrier.
  • If an item is damaged during return shipping from Inked, we will file the claim when applicable.
  • Extra shipping insurance may be offered at checkout. Without additional insurance, coverage is limited to $100.

How do send-ins work?

  3. Ship your item with your order number attached.
  4. We get it signed, authenticated when applicable, and ship it back.
What should I include with my item?

Please include your order number with the item, preferably on a sticky note attached to the item itself. If you purchased add-ons such as personalization, character name, quote, marker color, or inscription options, please include those details as well.

How should I package my item?

Use protective materials and package your item securely. If you are sending a collectible that you want returned in a protector, please send it in that protector. If you do not provide a protector, we do not add one when returning it.

Can I send any item I want?

What happens if my item arrives late?

Items that arrive after the signing deadline will be returned at the customer’s expense.

What if my send-in is damaged during shipping?

If your item is damaged while shipping to us, you are responsible for filing the claim with your carrier. If your item is damaged during return shipping from us, we will file the claim when applicable. Extra protection insurance may be offered at checkout; without it, coverage is limited to $100.
